{"id":899,"date":"2026-04-21T12:23:31","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T17:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amautiit.ca\/?p=899"},"modified":"2026-04-21T12:24:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T17:24:43","slug":"call-for-participants-amautiit-food-security-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amautiit.ca\/ik\/call-for-participants-amautiit-food-security-project\/","title":{"rendered":"CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS \u2013 Amautiit Food Security Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amautiit Nunavut Inuit Women\u2019s Association is looking for participants across Nunavut to take part in an important Pan-Arctic Food Security project focused on Nutrition North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are seeking participants from each of the three Nunavut regions: Qikiqtaaluk, Kivalliq, and Kitikmeot:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 Families<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Elder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Single Individual<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This project will gather real experiences from Inuit households to better understand food access, affordability, and the impacts of Nutrition North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected participants will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take part in bi-weekly Zoom interviews (every 2 weeks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Answer the same set of questions each session<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep grocery receipts and submit photo copies to Amautiit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate consistently for a 6-month period<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Interviews will be conducted in English. If you prefer to participate in Inuktitut, please let us know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Honorarium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants will receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>$150 every two weeks for full participation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>(Up to $1,800 total over the 6-month period)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time Commitment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bi-weekly participation (every 2 weeks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short Zoom sessions + receipt tracking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ongoing commitment for 6 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements &amp; Required Materials<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have access to a smartphone or laptop with Zoom capability (equipment will not be provided)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a reliable internet connection for virtual interviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to take clear photos of grocery receipts (using a phone or camera)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit grocery receipt photos to Amautiit every two weeks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be available to attend all scheduled Zoom sessions and respond to questions consistently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Participate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your voice matters.
