Amautiit Nunavut Inuit Women’s Association is proud to celebrate the successful completion of our\u00a0Inuit <\/strong>Women Fish & Fish Habitat Workshop\u00a0held in Rankin Inlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over two inspiring days, Inuit women gathered to learn about fish and fish habitat, share traditional knowledge, spend time on the land, and strengthen our collective responsibility to care for the waters that have sustained Inuit communities for generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop combined hands-on learning with meaningful discussions, storytelling, and opportunities to connect across generations. Participants explored the importance of healthy fish habitats, shared their own experiences and knowledge, and discussed ways to protect these resources for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than a learning opportunity, the workshop celebrated Inuit knowledge, community leadership, and the vital role Inuit women continue to play as caretakers of the land and water. It was inspiring to witness participants build confidence, exchange skills, and strengthen relationships while learning from one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
